My Belkin F5UV got the com port number 8 com8and that is what I am going to connect to in putty. If you see this field, do not fill it! I solved it using Teraterm instead of Putty.
This driver kinda works for me but the putty session will lock up and require a reboot of the laptop at random intervals. I had a problem yesterday, and thought I should post my solution since I had a hard time getting it to work and it might help others. It supports serial communications up to kbps using either software or hardware handshaking. I then found a serial RS to USB converter at work, the Belkin F5UV and borrowed it for the day, but when i got home and plugged it into a Windows 7 64Bit laptop I noticed that there was no driver found for the device.

It doesn't Requires IRQs or other system resources. I did not do it at first, and was not able to use the device before I did. Thank You for Submitting Your Review,! In Windows i use Putty to connect using telnet, ssh, serial or any other connection like that.
Not sure this RS is supported seriql on windows 7!
Desktop PC with Windows 7 64Bit was ok. You can download Putty here. Putty session always froze after certain amount of data transfered. When the computer is back adwpter and running, plug in the Belkin USB to serial converter. This is a very old comment but as I had the same problem and found a solution someone might be interested.
